Jon presenting “Introduction to Laboratory Informatics”

The Laboratory Leadership Service (LLS) (http://www.cdc.gov/lls/) fellowship program prepares early-career laboratory scientists to become future public health laboratory leaders. LLS focuses on developing laboratory scientists who integrate safety and quality as principal elements in all of in their work, which is vital to protecting the public’s health, safety, and security. As we did in 2015, JMC was invited to share our informatics expertise to this years’ class of fellows.  By highlighting the importance of public health laboratory informatics and a leader’s role in informatics projects, we hoped to give these future leaders the tools they need to be successful.
