Gretl brings over ten years of project management practice in the public health arena with extensive experience in managing large, complex healthcare informatics projects. In her current role as Project Manager at JMC, Gretl provides technical project management for multiple projects, including APHL Informatics Technical Assistance (TA) Program activities, CDC’s Antibiotic Resistance Laboratory Network (ARLN) Reporting Portal and Lab Web Portal, and the National PHL DST Reference Center TB Electronic Test, Order, and Results (ETOR) Project.

Gretl joined JMC in 2015 as a consultant on the NNDSS Modernization Initiative (NMI), where she provided project management for Public Health Agencies implementing notifiable disease reporting data streams. She began her career as a Public Health Research Project Manager at Emory University on Phase III Clinical Trials and has a broad foundation in public health knowledge, as well as an understanding of the Health IT field and health care business needs.

Gretl is a passionate advocate for leveraging innovative technologies to increase the quality of care delivered in the healthcare industry and to empower public health leaders access to data to make strategic decisions that foster better public health nationally and beyond.  She has a unique combination of skills leading teams and collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into health informatics solutions. Gretl holds a Master of Public Health in Applied Public Health Informatics from Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health.
