JMC's 3rd Quarter 2023 Community Service Project Brings Holiday Cheer to Veterans at VA Hospital

Decatur, December 2023 - In a heartwarming display of community spirit, JMC committed to making a positive impact and celebrated a successful 3rd quarter community service project. The highlight of the initiative was the assembly and delivery of 105 stockings for veterans and active-duty patients at the VA hospital.

The bustling activity took place during an in-person meeting held in August, where JMC members gathered to fill stockings with festive treats and essentials. The goal set by Holiday Stockings for Heroes was to assemble 500 stockings for this location, all of which will be distributed to veterans and active-duty personnel during the holiday season.

The JMC team, dedicated to serving those who have served our nation, took the extra step to hand-deliver the batch of 105 stockings to the VA hospital. Several team members were able to meet up for this special delivery, adding a personal touch to the community service effort.

" Our goal was to bring a smile to the faces of those who sacrificed so much for our country.  We, at JMC, wanted to offer a small token of our gratitude/appreciation for those who have and continue to serve across all areas of the U.S. armed services.  As a veteran, it’s important to let our fellow service men and women know they are never forgotten and always valued & appreciated.  I’m grateful to be part of an organization who shares in this value and can brighten the holiday of our service men and women," said Tim Longo, a Project Manager for JMC.

JMC partnered with Soldiers Angels, a non-profit organization supporting deployed troops, veterans, and their families, for this community service project. Those interested in learning more about JMC's initiatives or volunteering for upcoming projects can visit SoldiersAngels.org for more information.

The organization encourages community members to join in this heartwarming effort, spreading joy and gratitude to those who have bravely served our nation.
